To My Fellow Lions,
Lion Juanita and I would like to thank you, the Lions of Texas, for your support, vote and now Endorsement as your International Director Candidate for MD-2 Texas.
This Texas Endorsement of our candidacy is good for the next three years.
Your overwhelming support for me and Lion Juanita is very special to us. We are very
blessed to have such great friends. The theme of Team Tijerina shows the unity of
service and represents the support of my family and the support that you, our Texas Lions Family, have demonstrated.
As we now move our campaign forward, I would like to share with you our plans for the International Convention in Milan, Italy this July of 2019 and for the International Convention in Singapore in July of 2020.
As the MD-2 Texas Endorsed Candidate, my name will be presented for consideration before the nominations committee of Lions Clubs International in Milan, but I will ask for my name to be withdrawn at that time which will allow for the full and stronger consideration of our candidacy in Singapore in July of 2020.
I will need your full support and attendance at the International Convention in Singapore in July of 2020. At that time, as we move the campaign forward, I am confident that I will have the backing of Lions International and will become your next International Director from MD-2 Texas.
I would also like to congratulate Council Chairperson John Landrum, District 2-X1 Governor Keith Murray, the MD-2 Council for 2018-2019 and all of the Texas Leadership for an outstanding State Convention in Waxahachie, Texas this past weekend. All of the Lions attending experienced great fellowship.
I would again like to thank each of you for your continued support and look forward to working alongside you with Helping Hands as we continue to move our service in Lionism forward.
