The Service Challenge
The District 2-X1 has 44 clubs out of 63 participating in campaign service challenge. Please plan your service activity for this year and implement it. To celebrate the Earth Day the Dallas Filipino Lions Club organized a Trash Pickup at the McInnish Park in Carrollton along the Trinity River. Several bags filled with trash were picked up, leaving the park spotless. The Park officials were very appreciative of the work and requested the club to come again for cleanup.

Centennial Membership Challenge
The district membership status continues to improve as we are only 5 members short since we started this year. With two months left, we hope to show an overall gain in membership this year. We started this year with District Headcount 0f 1821, with a current membership of 1816 on April 28, 2017, down –5Clubs are requested to hold the drops till July1, 2017.

Texas Lions Centennial Celebration will take place at the Hyatt Regency, North Dallas, on Oct 6-7. Please make plans to attend. This will be an event as big as Texas! To commemorate we are planning to publish a souvenir. We solicit your support for an Ad from your club. Full page $250, Half page $150, Quarter Page $75. This is an inexpensive way to brag about your club or your business. You can also publish an article about your club. Please contact me if you wish to place an Ad.
