Varsity Club Recognizes Top Athletes

Outstanding Wardlaw athletes are recognized by the Varsity Club.
The club came into existence in the fall of 1967 with Keith P. Larison as its first president. Donald J. McGinn, Jr., headed the organization the following year.
Officers this year were Bruce A. Crystal, pres ident; Michael A. Cohen, vice president; and Thomas L. Hiexl, secretary-treasurer.
Further members were Russell L. Hewit, Ran dall L. Highfield, Arnold N. Komblatt, John B. Schwartz, J. David Stewart, Jr., and Raymond G. Whitham.
In addition to recognition of outstanding ath letes, the group helps out generally with athletic programs. A constitution sexves as a guide to coaches and athletes with regard to matters of sportsmanship and what to do in handling specific situations.
Club members wear special maroon and gold breakers and also have gold blazers.
