The wrestling team was hampered this year by a lack of team members. Head Coach Doc Rud said, "The commitment on the part of the team members was unmatched by that of the student body." The team found it hard to avoid a final record of I -10 because they found themselves giving up 20 to 30 points a match due to forfeit. The team talent and personal achievements on the part of the team more than made up for that. Highlighting the year was a good medal performance by megagrappler Kevin Adair who wrestled his way to the top spot in his weight class in the conference meet held at W-H. Adair earned Outstanding Wrestler awards for the entire tour
nament. Standout wrestlers include seniors Josh Perfit, Jeff Bloodgood, Kelly Keenoy and junior Ken Horwitz. Coach Rud and Assistant Coach Barry Leonowitz should be optimistic for the future, since many freshmen lit up the small roster. Greg Sturcke, Jason Kidd, Dave Resnick, Chris Paul, Fred Mongello and Jon Yung should prove to give the grapplers strength a few years from now. MVP
Adair summed up the young talent as "possessing enthu siastic vigor and a willingness to learn."
