 The Kent Place Game
HIS YEAR the annual game with the Kent Place School was the only outside hockey game we played. They were our guests this fall, and we enjoyed playing them very much in spite of the bad weather.
The visiting team and the rest of the Kent Place girls arrived in buses and cars soon after lunch, and the game started very shortly. It was a foggy and wet day, but since it was not actually raining, we played as scheduled. During the first half it looked as though the game would be a close one, for the score was a tie. A hard fight by both teams
continued through the second period. When the final whistle blew, the Kent Place girls burst into cheers and shouts of joy, for their team was victorious, 2— 1. It was a wonderful ganre, equally enjoyed by the teams and the spectators.
This brought our hockey season to a close for another year. A great deal of credit goes to Miss Clifiord, our faithful coach, who worked
so vigorously and earnestly with us all fall in preparation for the game. F. w., ’32.
