The Varsity Basketball team had one of its best seaons ever. Under the leadership of Senior Captains, playmaker guard Eric Krampf and awesome re­ bounder Osborne Mayers, the team posted an out­ standing 17-7 record. Key hoopsters were juniors Steve Maxwell, the scoring guard, Rick McMurrian, under the boards, and all-around player Kevin Wyatt. Their season closed with an impressive fourth rank in the state. Coaches Ray Kovonuk and Link Keur aided the team in their quest for the state title. The hoop­ sters, however, fell short of the mark in losing a heart- breaker to Rutgers Prep in the finals, 64-63. The team looks forward to an excellent season next year.
