The Varsity Volleyball team did have more talent than their 0-10 record would seem to indicate. Against Prin­ ceton Day School they displayed winning ability, but were unable to maintain the effort for the entire match. The season was not without some bright spots. Senior captain Gayle Garmise often showcased her outstanding serving ability by acing 25% of her serves. Freshman Dana Bouterse and Sophomore Shari Williams showed much promise with outstanding mobility and team play. No one gave up as the losing season dragged on. Despite repeated disappointments, the girls had the determina­ tion to improve until the end of the season.
