This year, under the guidance of Mr. Phillip Kerry and Mr. Evan Peterson, the Varsity Swim Team compiled an impressive 8 - 5 record, the best in three years. OutstandĀ­ ing swimmers for the mermen included backstroke, John Penvenne, with a personal record of 25 - 1and freestylist, Lisa Minard, who broke four school records. Other inĀ­ valuable members were Peter Fleck, Chip Gerber, Dave Vogel, John and Ed Twill, Kathy Lynch, Liz Charlton and Sarah LeFever. Strong performances were also turned in by the diving team of Peggy Burgess and Dave Stout. The high point of the season came when they defeated the Hun School by 2 points in a dramatic contest which came down to the final event.
