The Wardlaw "Beacon," a bi-weekly newspaper, has completed Its fourth consecutive year of publication. It has come a long way since the days of its founder, Peter Stevenson.
This year's staff, headed by Editor John Fabian, and ably assisted by Mr. Cole, faculty advisor, has worked diligently and faithfully In Its attempt to report the news to the student body. There has been a good spirit of cooperation among the members of the staff as evi denced by the promptness with which they have been
meeting their deadline.
There have been several changes in the format of the paper Itself: much of the lettering has been done by the editor himself: the production has been ably handled by Michael Blazo and Kenneth Van Alstyne: all of the typing has been done by Mrs. Taylor: and Fred SIsser has done a good job on the cartoons.
Another change, which was instituted this past year. Is the policy of sending the "Beacon" to last year's alumni. This work has been handled by Business Manager Robert Fuller and it is hoped this practice will continue.
All in all, it is our opinion that the "Beacon" has had its best year and that it plays a very important role in the school life of our boys.
