This is the first year that the Student
Council has been able to hold regular meetings with its faculty advisor. This I is due to the fact that Mr. Cole re
placed Mr. Harris, who felt that he
could not devote the necessary time to
the council.
With the aid of Mr. Cole, President Dave Garrison and his associates have had a wonderful year. Probably their biggest achievement was the Fall Sports Banquet, whereby the council in augurated the practice of holding the dinner at a public restaurant and In viting the fathers to attend. This affair
was met with great enthusiasm as re flected by its attendance.
Some other tasks which the council undertook were the Red Cross and magazine campaigns, the Improvement of the student store, and the sponsor ship of several dances for the upper school, highlighted by the Christmas dance.
It is easy to see that the Student Council has had a very successful year and we hope that next year's group will live up to the standards set by this year's council.
