What/5 a Human Resource Counselor? Thus begins the speech given to new students who are unaware of Donna Fiver's position downstairs in the PUB. By definition, she is someone you can talk to who isn't a teacher or a parent and can't get you into trouble. She's there to offer advice or a shoulder to cry on or simply a refuge from study hall. But for the seven years that Mrs. Fiver has been here, she has done much more.
Since taking over as adviser of the school's S.A.D.D. chapter, Donna Fiver has brought speakers ranging from recovered drug addicts to professional football players to life-size robots, trying to help educate both older and younger about the hazards of drinking and driving and drug abuse. More recently, she has initiated programs
educating about AIDS and environmental problems.
As an advisor and friend, Mrs. Fiver has made a tremendous contribution to both the Upper and Lower Schools. We
would like to wish her the best of luck in Boston.
