FIFTH GRADE
 Geography lesson
The fifth grade has covered broad areas in its quest for knowledge.
Mathematics has included fractions, decimals, and base-five numerals. Geography has embraced exten sive studies of Europe and Asia. English has covered parts of speech, sentence structure, letter writing, capitalization, and punctuation. Scientific studies con sisted of work with molecules, soil and water conser vation, electricity, and rocks and minerals. Spelling, writing, and reading rounded out the fifth grade cur riculum, which was taught by Mrs. Beatrice Skimmons.
Mr. Schroff, instructing music, helped Mrs. Skim mons prepare the fifth graders for the more advanced learning of the middle school.
