THIRD GRADE
Tracing past voyages
Third graders this year gained in stature and knowledge.
Of especial interest was the class's programmed geography course, from which the pupils learned about the earth, the continents, the oceans, and the climates of the world.
Long division with remainders highlighted third- grade arithmetic. In English the Class of 1974 studied proper word usage and in the reading course learned to "read with expression."
The class, which was instructed by Mrs. Edith Thomas, is ready for what lies ahead.
