STUDENT COUNCIL
Wardlaw's highest extra-curricular honor is election to the Senior Student Council.
Each high school class elects its representatives: three seniors, three juniors, two sophomores, and two freshmen. An additional senior representative is chosen by the faculty.
A president is elected from among the four seniors. Officers this year were Robert D. Whitman, president; Hugh T. McPhee, vice-president; James P. Stewart, secre tary; Michael Seligmann, treasurer; and T. Kevin McMahon, corresponding secretary.
The council worked this year to make Wardlaw a more rewarding experience for everyone. School problems were discussed by the council and by a "town meeting" of the entire student body. The council coordinated such school- related activities as the magazine campaign. Council members acted as guides to visiting teams and to parents who served as hostesses at receptions following athletic contests.
