A thirties
Hartridge School Plainfield, N. J. November 16, 1939.
(You'll never do it, so I'll tell you ) We won the hockey game with Miss Fine’s school -and believe me, that’s news! It was exciting, and the whole
school turned out to tear its hair. The score was nil until- Aimee made a goal- victory! One to nothing in our favor.
We're playing Kent Place on the 21st, so wish us luck I think well need it! Love,
Your Hartridge Correspondent. ♦♦O

Dear Marge:
We won! Score? Hartridge 2 — Kent Place 1.
Dickie and Mary Dernier pulled us out of a one to nothing hole in the second
half by putting that little white ball between the poles twice.
We re going to have our Class Hockey game soon, and the Green and White
games too. (I'm a White just in case you’ve forgotten which side to cheer for.) Will write tres soon.
Love,
That Walter Winchell of Hartridge.

Dear Marge:
No remarks about the time which has lapsed. But due to certain things known
as studies, I've been sidetracked.
The seniors can heave a great sigh of relief—we won the class game—and
therefore we still have our honor. Green and White game was a thriller! A tie— three to three. If it hadn’t been for that last three seconds, your correspondent would have turned traitor and gone over to the victorious Greens.
Love,
Louise.
