BASKETBALL
Dearest Mother and Daddy,
Class games have been going on all this last week, and we’ve now played the Ill’s and H’s. Score of the V III game was 31 to 17 V’s favor. It was fun hut too close for comfort. Then next came the VTI, and we won by six points. Those II’s have a team! The Green and White team game will be played off soon, and that's going to be hair-raising! The winning team gets 15 points.
Well, now that you're completely up on the basketball news, I 1 have to get at my homework. If you can find any more of those heavy socks, Mother, I wish you’d send some, dark blue.
My love to Dodo.

We couldn’t have had a more perfect day for the May Pageant if we had ordered it special delivery. It was hot and sunny, and all were in a school-almost- over mood. The procession was first -Ruth Hackett was May Queen, and oh, Mother, she looked perfectly lovely in a long white dress and flowers. Attending her were Janet Morrow and Helen Poucher. They did it nobly. After all were settled, the rhythm and folk dancing began. Every class from kindergarten up did something, including the seniors who got kind of mixed up with their Maypole dance. Next came the dedication of the new building. Both Miss Hartndge and Dr. Moment gave very impressive speeches. Freddie Coerr placed the cornerstone.
Anyway, all ended happily with Field Day sports, Dinner is ready, so have to run. Will write soon about sports.
Love,
Janie.
P. S.—‘Thanks for candy—the sample I got (after the rest of the house had a look at it) was delicious.
