Jessie got the blue in the good hands class. The championship class was won by Jean Baxter, with Jessie second. Jean Baxter and Dorothy Ritterbush got blue ribbons in the pairs class. HOCKEY DITHER
TELEGRAM
Beat Kent Place. School in riot. Hockey dinner tonight. Letter follows. Love, Janie.
Dearest Mother and Daddy,
At last we’ve managed it! We beat Kent Place, and the hockey dinner
following it was perfect! Everyone was, of course, in the most cheerful of moods and all set for a grand evening. The table was in the form of a big “H,” and the girls sat with their mothers. Different people got up and made formal (?) speeches— short and funny—and the classes sang their songs. The teachers got in a huddle and serenaded us with their songs. They were really a howl.
All good things have to come to an end, and this was one of them. At 9.30 we all turned in the direction of homework, after a gorgeous time.
This brings the hockey season to an end, but basketball follows. I have to mend a sock or two—write soon.

Love,
Janie.
