Varsity Wrestling finished their season with a strong tourna ment performance. Capping an 8-5-1 season in the A & B combined competition, this team scored more points in that meet than any matmen in W-H history. Unfortunately, the year was plagued with injuries; Tom Byleckie, Tom Kopidakis, and Barry Leonowicz were all out early in the season. However, the team did not let this situation change their attitude. The remain ing grapplers really showed their strength at the NJAIS Wrestling Championships, where Bruce Lackland took a second, Martin McDougall and Roland Minard thirds, and Vince Venezia a fourth. With the return of several strong wrestlers next year, Coach Doc Rud is looking forward to another great season.
