Grapplers’ 9-4 Record Best in Nine Years
This year the Varsity Wrestling team grappled its way to the best season in nine years. Coached by Dr. Leslie Rudnyanszky, the aggressive, able team earned a nine and four dual meet record.
With a strong base of veteran wrestlers, the team was also able to compete very successfully in local wrestling tournaments. Heading the team were sen iors Steve LeGrand and Jim Deiner who earned sec ond and fourth places, respectively, in the Prep State Championship. Other outstanding team members were
Guy Donatelli, Karl Schriever, and Ralph Conti. It was their skill and determination that placed the team second in the Monroe Holiday Tourney and first in the Peddie Winter Quadrangle Tourney.
In the end, however, it was the team working to gether that made them a winning team.
