Varsity Trackmen Come Off Unbeaten Season
Equaling last year’s undefeated season stands as a formidable goal for this year’s cindermen. The team has not only lost six lettermen to graduation, but also faces a larger and tougher schedule. Op ponents such as Oratory and St. Thomas Aquinas have traditionally fielded strong teams and promise to push the Wardlaw-Hartridge team to its limits. Outstanding performers during pre-season have been co-captain Tom Glasser in the 2 mile, Tyree Jones in the high hurdles, and Brian Roach in the 100 and 220 yard dash. Conjecturing on this season, co-captain Tom Glasser remarked,
“ Despite the factors against us, I still am optimistic about the season. Many athletes have the chance to shatter school records and I am hoping for a rela tively good season.”
