School could not play us in hockey, because of illness. Therefore the an nual game with Kent Place was the only one we played.

I'he day arranged for the contest was rather gloomy, hut as there X had been no actual rain, the game was not postponed. I'axis took the

the boarding-school. When we arrived, the Kent Place girls met and led
us immediately to the Held so that the game might begin before tlie rain. X
Both teams took part first in a little preliminary practice. "Phen Kent Place scored the first goal very near the beginning. This overwhelmed our team somewhat, hut they soon gained control of themselves and tied
the score. After a very thrilling and seemingly short combat, the whistle blew. It was all over. Our team had won for the Hrst time in three years,
