For the first time archery was included. Because of the new point system
each contestant entered into every event possible in order to gain a credit
for her team; consequently there were many girls who revealed unforeseen skill, d'hroughout the meet Frances Preston showed remarkable prowess,
and, having won the greatest number of points, received the cup. In the Fdementary, Peggy Welles easily won the medal.
