JUNIORS SPARK BOY'S BASKETBALL
The Runnin' Rams were the surprise team of the Prep "B” conference. Despite the graduation of all the experienced varsity players from last year, the Rams compiled a record of 10-12 with upset wins over Princeton Day, Montclair-Rimberly, Morristown-Beard, and Rutgers Prep. Mot bad for a team that iost all its starters! Only a two-point loss to Saddle River Day, a team they had lost to by ten points earlier in the season, kept them from reach ing the "final four." Eugene Achermann, a junior foreign exchange student, led the Rams with a 20 point scoring average that was good enough to land him fifth on the state scoring list! Chris MaCall, Brett Allen, Tom Lee, and Tood Kaplan, all Juniors, were potent forces and should prove to be the nucleus of next year's hopes for the first W-H state title since Greg Boff and the 1983 team.
