Extracurricular Activities Well Received
Increasing interest in extracurricular activities was noted this year as both students and faculty realized to what extent they could usefully employ the new facilities provided by the Inman Avenue campus.
The Glee Club and Band presented their annual Christmas Concert and Carol Service, and later in the year other musical presentations followed.
Both the Senior and Junior Student Councils were active this year in seeking reforms in student government. The Junior Student Council also planned a number of dances which were well attended.
The Drama Club performed My Three Angels and Harvey, using performers from both Hartridge and Wardlaw. The stage crew designed and built excellent sets and both performances were well received.
Chess Club. Library Club, French Club, and Spanish Club, as well as other activities, helped to round out and broaden the scope of the activities in which any student could participate.
Halloween and Christmas parties, as well as end-of-the-year picnics, were exciting highlights for lower schoolers.
