Drama Club Increases Production
The Wardlaw Drama Club attempted its most timhitioLis program thus far with two major pro ductions being added to its list of former suc cesses.
The season opened in November with an en tertaining presentation of Sam and Bella Spewach's My Three Angels. The play dealt with the amusing escapades of three convicts who came to the rescue of a French family in distress. Leading roles were played by Wardlaw's Bruce A. Shear, president; David B. Allen, vice pres ident; Jeffrey R. Berry; Miss Susan (Holly) De- lanoy, Hartridge; and Miss Lynda J. Duggan, Bridgewater-Raritan East High School. The play was co-directed by Mr. Alexander McDougall and Mr. Max J. Munzel.
A famous Broadway hit, Harvey, was the choice for the spring production. Written by Mary Chase, it is about a man who believed his
best friend was a rabbit which was six feet tall. Once again a Wardlaw audience felt that the production proved to be another worhwhile eve ning of entertainment. In this second production Allen and Robin P. Bach, Plainfield High School, played the leads and were supported by Miss Delanoy, Jody L. Shrager, John E. Bowley, Jr., J. Gilmore Childers, Michael I, Goldberg, and John S. Van Mater, Jr. The play was directed by Mr. McDougall, while in both productions Mr. Jacques E. LeGrand was in charge of the stage crew which provided the cast with beauti fully executed sets.
The student directors were Shear and Allen and the stage crew was headed by Donald S. Brant, Jr., Howard M. Mintz, John S. Peets, and Craig B. Sholley.
Allen, Brant, Mintz, Peets, Shear, and Sholley are members of June’s graduating class.
