 Mr. Hoffman Guides Library Club
The Library Club, under the direction of Mr. Ray E. Hoffman, found a variety of ways to raise funds for the purchase of more books to add to the library's growing collection.
The Book Fair this year was combined with National Library Week for the first time. A large selection of paperbacks, both fiction and non-fiction, was offered. Many hardbound books were also available. The fair was under the direction of Peter S. Brower.
In January a display of old books was placed in the windows of the Front Street offices of The United National Bank. A second display was set up in the windows of Public Service in February. Both displays also included an exhibition of Wardlaw students' art and photography.
All juniors this year took a course in Library Science. Many in this course were library proctors and helped keep order in the library during study halls. This year's officers were Daniel S. Feldman, president; John E. Bowley, Jr., vice president; and Wayne G. Napolitano, treasurer.
Observant Library Club members (from left to right) John E. Bowley, Jr., vice president; John S. VanMater, Jr.; and Paul K. Johnson, III, keep close watch on proceedings at the Book Fair.
