Industrious Mothers Aid Students
A highlight of the winter season was the Mothers’ Association display in the upper school foyer.
With ;i strong sense of dedication, the Mothers' Assoeitition continued this year to tiid the school through its viirious tietivities.
Mrs. Richard M. Htile was elected president. Assisting her as first vice president w;is Mrs. William C. Streib. Other otficcrs this year in cluded Mrs. (ieorge R. Withers, second vice president; Mrs. Paul F. Lyons, treasurer; Mrs. T. R. Loi- zeaux, Jr,, recording secretary; and Mrs. Robert B. Bach, corresponding secretary.
Mrs. J. Lloyd Harbeck and Mrs. Walter A. Hatis served as co-chair men of the annual Fall Fair, which this year was held in conjunction with Homecoming Day. The event was a huge success, grossing more than $5,500.
This year's Annual Bridge, held in March, was enjoyed by all in atten dance. Co-chairmen of the affair were Mrs. Louis F. Gould and Mrs. Lester G. Kaufman. The theme this year was “Springtime.”
Mrs. Harry V. Osborne was chairman of the February Winter Meeting, which featured selections by the Glee Club and Band, a scene from the Drama Club’s production of Harvey, and an exhibition organ ized by the Art Department.
Mrs. 0. H. Hewit, III, and Mrs. George W. Harris ran the Mothers’ Store this year.
