This year’s officers included David P. Karner, president; Donald F. Piotrowski, vice president; and Richard W. Friedman, secretary-treasurer. Other members elected were Howard C. Anderson, Robert G. Ferrigni, William H. Hewit, Gary M. Malpas, H. Theodore Osborne, Wayne G. Napolitano, and Jonathan W. Shuster. This year, for the first time, juniors were elected to membership. Those honored were Roger J. Breene, William L. Null, Allan K. Terhune, and Robert W. Toresco. Mr. Harold Breene, Wardlaw Athletics Director, served as advisor to the group.
Besides recognizing the school’s top-ffight athletes, the club offers help to the entire athletics program. The members, through the club’s constitution, help to interpret matters of sportsmanship and assist with specific sports problems.
The organization has gathered funds in various ways, both for itself and the school athletics department. Club members sold refreshments at Homecoming Day, Field Day, and many athletic competitions.
Club members are easily recognized in and out of school by their gold blazers and their maroon and gold outer jackets.
