 The Banquet, 1928
The evening of May the twenty-fifth found the members of the Ath letic Association assembled for their annual banquet.
The auditorium was completely transfigured by black and white
treamers effectively festooned around the room. To the table, in the shape s
of the letter H, silver candlesticks and an abundance of spring flowers gave a festive air.
Constance Van Duyn presided in her witty, “Puckish” manner as toast-mistress. Appropriate toasts were given to Miss Sprague, our charm
ing guest of honor, and to members of the Association who had helped to make the athletic year successful.
Miss Hartridge awarded the letters to the members of the winning basketball and hockey teams; and to the tennis champion, Jane Duffy, she gave the coveted silver cup.
\fter the awards the senior class appeared in tableaux. Half past
eleven came all too soon, and brought the dancing to a close.
The success of the delightful evening was due to Miss Jenkins, and to the members and officers of the Association.
