Last year the riding meet was held in Mrs. Yerkes’ ring the afternoon of the twenty-second of May, after several postponements because of rain. First there were three classes for horsemanship, divided according to age.
In the first class, the youngest, Margaret Morse was declared a winner.
Mary Blake won the blue ribbon in the second, and in the third Helen But terfield was awarded the prize. Next came the championship class. M a r
garet Morse was given the silver cup, and Mary Blake received the reserve
championship. After this there was a class of jumping in which Helen Butterfield won the cup.
