The WGI Team can also assist in the bidding process, including pre-bid meet- ings, bid analysis, and recommendations to award. We take special care to assure all legal requirements are met in this process for a smooth transition from design to implementation.
Bid evaluation and recommendation is o ered as a service that many mu- nicipalities value. This service involves interviewing contractors’ references, verifying bid quantities, and cost and recommendation reports. We have pro- vided these services for the majority of our municipal projects. Our current knowledge of the latest value engineering methods and speci c costs allow us make informed recommendations.
Construction Related Services
The WGI Team has been providing construction management and observa- tion services for over 30 years. We believe the rm’s successful history over this extended period of time demonstrates our commitment to excellence in the performance of these services.
Our landscape architects and engineers routinely perform inspections for con- formance to plans and speci cations for the state and local municipalities for all types of projects. Construction observation is critical to the success of a project. The WGI Construction Engineering Inspection professionals will report on the day-to-day operations of the contractor and oversee the administration of the contract. We believe the rm’s depth of experienced construction engi- neering and inspection personnel will be invaluable in meeting and exceeding the expectations of the City.
In this phase the Team will:
❱ Provide on-site construction supervision to ensure that the work is built in conformity with engineering drawings and speci cations
❱ Review and approve shop drawings

❱ Respond to RFIs
❱ Follow-up on recti cation to the work, which may be required of the con-
tractor to ensure that de ciencies are properly completed
❱ Arrange and coordinate qualitative tests in the eld to ensure high quality construction
❱ Obtain eld information for the modi cation of contract drawings to show the work asbuilt
❱ Ensure training for proper operation and maintenance of the completed fa- cilities as speci ed in the bid document technical speci cations
❱ Prepare payment certi cates and process requisitions from the contractor ❱ Conduct nal project inspection and issue nal acceptance certi cate
