Jennifer Hofmeister, AICP
Lead - Planning
Jennifer has extensive experience in urban and regional planning throughout the South and Central Florida area. She began her career in parks and greenways planning in Miami-Dade County. Succeeding positions led her into diverse planning arenas, including neighborhood and current planning in both Broward County and the City of Delray Beach and comprehensive planning for Broward County Planning Council and the City of Boca Raton. During her 10-year tenure for the City of Boca Raton, she wrote the Evaluation and Appraisal Report and was the lead planner drafting policy and managing City staff and outside consultants during the preparation of the Comprehensive Plan Amendments for adoption. Jennifer’s skill of blending technical and creative writing with her planning expertise brings an invaluable asset to the table.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Jupiter Inlet Village, Love Street Mixed Use Planned Development, Jupiter, Modica and Bel- ford, Project Planner. Jennifer was the project plan- ner on a multifaceted development proposal that in- volved several parcels within the Inlet Village Sector of the US 1 Intracoastal Waterway Corridor Sector in Jupiter. The project had high public exposure due to the location of the project and its anticipated role in
Feasibility Report for Outdoor Activity and Entertainment Overlay District, St. Luc- ie County, St. Lucie County, Supervisor, Project Manager. WGI provided planning and traf c engineering services for the establishment of an “Outdoor Activity and Entertainment District” on approximately 2,500 acres in the area surrounding the St. Lucie County Fair- grounds. Currently the Future Land Use and Zoning for the area is Agriculture (AG-5), with the exception of the County Fairgrounds property, which has a Future Land Use designation of Public Facilities (P/F) with a compatible Zoning classi cation of Institutional. The property is located west of the existing Urban Service Area, which needed a Future Land Use Map amendment and traf c analysis. WGI staff prepared a feasibility report, which included data collection, public and developer outreach, and presentation of our  ndings to the St. Lucie Board of County Commissioners.
COMPREHENSIVE PLANNER
Jennifer managed the City of Boca Raton’s long range planning activities for 10 years, during which she prepared and presented the Boca Raton 2009 Comprehensive Plan, su- pervised staff responsible for the various elements of the Comprehensive Plan, and man- aged the work of outside consultants assisting with various City studies. She served as project planner for various redevelopment projects, which included the preparation of staff reports, preparation of legal documents, including ordinances/resolutions and presentations to City advisory boards and governing body.
COUNTYWIDE COMPREHENSIVE PLANNER
All the County level, Jennifer was responsible for ensuring consistency of 30 individual mu- nicipal land use plans and the Broward County Land Use Plan. She performed extensive analysis of all local land use plan amendments, developed countywide land use policies and presented recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and Broward Coun- ty Planning Council during public hearings. Jennifer also delivered technical assistance to municipal and private sector planning agencies and consultants, performed research and prepared staff reports, managed administrative staff in the production of  nal reports to the Planning Council and general public, prepared public notices, legal advertisements, and agenda reports.
