RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
City of Orlando Sligh Boulevard and Columbia Street Improvements, Orange County, City of Orlando. WGI was responsible for the design of im- provements, which included resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation (RRR) of the roadway, as well as operational improvements at the intersections to ac- commodate future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) expan- sion, bus routes, and freight delivery. The rail cross- ing at Columbia Street was improved to facilitate the safe movement of people, vehicles, and trains within the corridor with a four-quadrant gate system. Sligh Boulevard was also recon gured to improve and accommodate the turning movements of BRT, bus, and freight vehicles. Other designs include a raised crosswalk/intersection table at Sligh Boulevard and
geotechnical investigations and permitting within the Marine Way right-of-way. Also included was a detailed review of the title documents and Florida Inland Navigation District’s (FIND) records.
The second phase involved a presentation to the City of various options for the location of the walkway within the Marine Way right-of-way and recommendations for drainage im- provements. It also included cross section preparation and descriptions of the proposed im- provements, cost estimates, preliminary engineering plans, as well as estimated permitting and construction timelines.
City of Delray Beach Marina - Seawall and Boat Dock Improvements, Palm Beach County, City of Delray Beach, QA/QC Of cer. During Phase I of this project, WGI per- formed a structural assessment of the seawall, marginal docks and nger piers. A report was presented to the City of Delray Beach outlining the condition assessment and recommended corrective actions. In addition, WGI prepared construction documents for repair/replacement of the concrete seawall and cap and for replacement of the nger piers at the Delray Beach Marina. The seawall cap will be raised to account for future sea-level rise and marine vessel wave action. All existing wooden piers will be removed and replaced with new oating nger piers. WGI will assist the City with the public bidding of the project including the attendance at the pre-bid meetings, responding to requests for information, review of bids and prepara- tion of a bid recommendation letter to the City. Survey services included researching public records for plats, NGS and county control, survey information to locate, check and reference horizontal and vertical control, and to locate all improvement within 25 feet of seawall edge, including, but not limited to, seawall, nger piers, pilings, trees, buildings, sidewalks, light poles, visible utilities, and adjacent seawall waterway soundings at 50-foot intervals.
