Official arrival of Insel Air Aruba
in the Dominican Republic
ARUBA TRAVELLER - Friday, July 17 2015 AFTER an official event at
the Airport in Aruba to cel-
ebrate the first Insel Air flight
from Aruba to the Dominican
Republic, Insel Air flew their
first flight to the Dominican
Republic.
Minister Otmar Oduber, CEO
of Insel Air Aruba, ATA and
the Airport were all present
at the departure.
The flight lasted one hour
and 5 minutes and was com-
pletely packed and well re-
ceived at the home country
of the Merengue and the
Bachata (Latin Dance style).
The CEO of Insel Air Aruba
Mr. Frederick Nuboer gave
a speech that was followed
by a toast and ribbon cutting
ceremony.
The plane was welcomed by
a water arch from the fire
and rescue team. It was a
unique moment because a
lot of work was put into the
welcoming ceremony. The
flight was successful since
the plane left and returned
completely packed.
The plane will fly twice a
week, but the plan is to in-
crease this in the future. The
plane will go from Aruba
to the Dominican Republic
then go to Sint Maarten and
afterwards return to the Do-
minican Republic.
In the afternoon it leaves
the Dominican Republic to
return to Aruba sometimes
before 7 o’clock at night.
Everyone on board the first
flight had nothing but good
remarks about the flight on
board the Fokker 70.
