500 Diehards Brave the Elements at the Unox New Year’s Dive!

MOOMBA BEACH - Five
hundred people, old,
young and everything in
between, gathered at
MooMba Beach Friday,
January 1st, for the tradi-
tional New Year’s Dive.
They lined up behind yel-
low tape and ran as fast as
they could to the ocean to
celebrate 2016 with a cool
dip. All 500 were wearing
Unox hats, as they do all
over the world during this
fun event. On Aruba, how-
ever, not much courage is
needed to jump into the
ocean: the water temper-
ature is refreshing, but not
cold at all; that’s why you
see so many smiling faces
in the photos.
