Data For The Future
As part of the Mainstreaming, Acceleration
and Policy Support (MAPS) mission of the United
Nations Development Program (UNDP) to Aru-
ba, the Economic Commission for Latin Ameri-
ca and Caribbean (ECLAC) conducted a pre-
liminary assessment of the statistical system of
Aruba in June 2017.
The ECLAC team will be visiting Aruba from
15-19 January 2018. This visit aims to provide
a thorough and comprehensive assessment
of the national statistical system (legal, institu-
tional and organizational environment) and an
assessment of human, technical and financial
capacity in the context of the requirements for
the implementation of the SDGs and the relat-
ed national policies.
Given that ECLAC is on the island, ECLAC in
collaboration with the SDG Commission wants
to organize an event for the broader public on
Wednesday 17th of January 2018 from 15.00 till

ECLAC and the SDG Commission would like to
invite your organization to participate in this
Public Event. The aim of this event is to raise
awareness on SDGs and the involvement of
the community within the implementation tra-
