Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) consists of
the use of a negative pressure or suction device:
• To aspirate and remove fluids, debris, and infectious
materials from the wound bed to
• Promote the formation of granulation tissue and wound
healing.

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
• Power operated requiring an electrical power source
• Dressing changes 3 times per week
• Device can be used for days, weeks or months
• Large Canister for continuous use
Disposable Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (dNPWT)
• Non-powered (mechanical)
• Battery Operated (2 AA Lithium Batteries)
• Single use – Disposable—up to 7 days usually 3 – 7 days
• The pump is compact and can fit in a pocket or on a belt.
