VNSNY Procedure for NPWT

 Patient or caregiver is willing to comply with physician order for
continuous treatment (22-24 hours per day) and participate in care
and management of the NPWT system.

 In situations where NPWT is interrupted for more than 2 hours, the
dressing is removed and an alternate dressing is applied according to
physicians orders.

 If patient is unable to remove the NPWT dressing and apply an
alternate dressing, a willing and available back-up caregiver must be
identified and must sign the back-up agreement
