Protocol for Seeing Covid-19 Positive Patients:


                       Home Care and Hospice



                              p.  improvement  in respiratory symptoms, clinicians must follow Droplet and Contact precautions and should wear
                                  surgical mask, gown, gloves, face shield or goggles for one-time use.
                              q.  Follow the donning and doffing of PPE checklist and protocol see Donning and
                                  Doffing Personal Protective Equipment 03/27/20.
                              r.  N95 respirator (*) to be used for any aerosol generating procedure, indefinitely.



                (*) Footnotes:
                The use of N95 mask may change based on the evolving nature of the pandemic and based on supply and demand of PPE.

                After 14 days from admission to home care and hospice and patient is asymptomatic, clinicians indefinitely continue to use a surgical
                mask as for all cases.



                N95 mask to be used for any aerosol generating procedure, indefinitely in following situations:

                           •  Suctioning endotracheal tube care

                           •  CPAP or BIPAP masks

                           •  Nebulizer treatments

                General Home Care/Hospice Instructions:


                The patient and household members should be provided with ongoing support and education, and monitoring should continue for the
                duration of home care. Household members should adhere to the following  recommendations:

                     1.  If possible, place the patient in a well-ventilated single room (i.e. with open windows and an open door).
