Face to Face Encounter (FFE)
Medicare (or Medicaid) enrolled MD signs that he/she saw the
patient within 90 days prior to, or 30 days after the start of
home care, for the reason that homecare is ordered
Homecare cannot begin without a signed FFE form
• Exception: Clinical Intake Manager approval
