Revenue Cycle Department (RCD)
RCD performs functions to ensure that VNSNY gets
reimbursed for services delivered.
The tasks of RCD include:
Ensuring that VNSNY has the proper insurance set up for
the patient
Document liability (Copays/Deductibles)
Obtaining authorizations
Ensuring services are billable
Billing for services
Applying payments

Working with payors to resolve payment denials
Monitoring trends related to billing and working with
VNSNY departments to implement improvements
Ensuring compliance with all billing regulations
Assisting patients in obtaining/maintaining Medicaid
eligibility, while receiving VNSNY services
