Support Surface Group 2

GROUP 2
 Patient has multiple Stage 11 ulcers on pelvis
or trunk.
Or
 Patient has been on a Group 2 or Group 3
surface for at least the past month prior to
discharge from a facility
Or
 Patient’s wound has worsened or remained the
same.
Or
 Patient has one stage III or stage IV pressure
on trunk or pelvis.
Or
 Patient has had flap/graft surgery within the
past 60 days & was on Group 2 or Group 3
surface prior to hospital discharge.
Examples:
 Low air loss mattress replacement -Select Air
 Alternating pressure mattress replacement
