Have you ever thought about changing your hair color? Most Hollywood
celebrities change their hair color every so often. Teenagers have started imitating

these actors, seeing hair color as an accessory. They are using bright, funky
colors more and more, making hair color something you can change as easily as

lipstick. Even adults like changing their hair color, mostly for covering their gray
hairs. They use traditional colors, and it makes them look younger. Some

teenagers dye their hair for the shock value - seeing people’s reaction to their
wild hair colors is funny to them. They also dye their hair because they want to

stand out in a crowd . Other teenagers, however, are against hair dying and
think that it’s just a desperate call for attention.

Hair colorists notice a trend in the preference for hair colors. Girls prefer purple
and red dyes, while boys prefer green and yellow dyes. Most teenagers like

assorted colors, in that case, they have large stripes or ‘streaks’ of different
colored dyes in their hair.
