Once upon a time, lived a family on
the shore of Sumatra island. There was
a boy in the family named Malin
Kundang.
The family was so poor that Malin’s
dad finally decided to embark on a
journey to another country to find
some fortune for his family.
Months went by to years while Malin
and his mother wait for the father’s
return. Unfortunately, he never made
it home.
Malin Kundang’s mother had to work
hard to be the breadwinner for the
family.
