4. Political acumen



         Alexander the Great was not only




         proficient in conquest, but also was



         able to rule a cohesive empire despite



         the large amounts of  disparity in




         race, culture and religion within the



         empire. He went to great lengths to




 generals, called the Diadochi. The   become assimilated within the local



 fact that they all failed to unify the   culture, and by doing this, he enabled



 empire shows as a testament to how   each region to be a part of  the




 Alexander the Great was skillful not   Hellenic empire that encompassed



 only in military expansion, but also   both the European and Asian




 in the ruling of  his new empire.  cultures to form a new culture.
