One day, Midas saw a drunk
satyr named Silenus passed out
in his rose garden.
He believed that satyrs bring
good luck, so he let him rest in
his garden until he sobered up,
against his wife’s and
daughter’s wish.
When Silenus woke up,
he thanked Midas and told him
that Dionysus, the god of wine
and celebration, was his friend.
