Dionysus knew that
it wasn’t a great idea but
granted Midas his wish.
The next day, everything Midas
touched became gold.
The apples in his backyard,
the sword in his room,
and his silver and bronze coins
turned into gold.
His subjects were very happy
to see all the gold in the palace.
