 advance started to frustrate Lincoln



 little by little. By 1862, George B.



 McClellan planned a strategy to




 capture Yorktown and on May 4th,



 he was able to successfully lead his



 army up the peninsula between the




 York and James Rivers and capture



 Yorktown. However, he was soon




 attacked by the forces led by Robert



 E. Lee and Jackson, who were




 part of  the Confederate. This was



 known as the Seven Days' Battles,
