schools, the children were learning



         European and English stories. She




         wanted to make sure that they were



         also learning about their own stories



         and creating a healthy view of  their




         Jamaican identity.



            Another observation that she



         made, was that Jamaicans were still




         following European customs and



         it appeared to her that they viewed




         European culture as higher than



         their own. When she would talk




         to adults and children, she noticed



         that they didn’t really have an idea
