Ball Players played a New York style
baseball game that was created in the
1860s. Soldiers playing a national
game in a camp during the Civil
War helped create the association.
In the beginning, it was played by
non-professional players for more
than a decade until 1867. More 400
teams joined this association after it
started to increase in popularity. The
